We have developed several identity systems that involve multiple business unit identities that work both individually and as a logo family. The challenge for developing such a system, is creating unique designs for each unit, while maintaining a visual tie in with the other marks.
One such client, University Operations, had over 16 departments that needed unique identities, but would have to work together, as well as have visual tie-ins that illustrated that they are part of a larger organization, with a unified vision and mission.

Another University of Texas client, Facilities Services, had a conservation initiative, named UTakeCharge, needing a logo redesign that included variations on the main logo. The challenge for this redesign, was illustrating each initiative as simple as possible, working within the constraints of the logo design.
